This is the first part of a very useful companion study guide that helps intermediate students get up to the level for the very popular advanced-level textbook Hito o Ugokasu! Jissen Bijinesu Nihongo Kaiwa. This book is intended for intermediate-level learners to help them get ahead in the business world by giving them the language and skills to deal with frequently occurring business situations, such as welcoming a new employee, attending a business report meeting, and even job interviews. By using this book, students are able to acquire the necessary expressions and tools for effective communication.

Each of the nine units in the book is divided into four sections: Dialog, Expressions, Conversation Practice 1, and Conversation Practice 2. The Dialog section flows the business activities of Anan, a Thai employee at a Japanese bank. Through Anan’s story, you can practice a variety of conversations, from formal conversations using honorific language to more casual conversations. In the Expressions section, you can practice the grammatical expressions that appear in the dialog through short mini-conversations. In the Conversation Practice sections, you can do oral practice in the form of conversations around situations such as comforting someone close to you and greeting a client. A CD is included with audio tracks for all the chapter dialogue and conversation practices.
